Why does my temperature show -5.7°F or 311°F ?

If you are seeing either of these two values it means that there is no sensor detected on the input you are reading. 

These two values are simply the default values for different sensor types. 311F is the default for a thermistor, -5.7 is a default for your 75F Current temp sensor.
