| How it Works
75F Smart Stat Heat Pump Profile allows for control of a heat pump.
Cooling Mode - If the zone requires cooling, then the reversing valve will move into the cooling position whether that is open or closed depends on your configuration. Stage 1 compressor will engage as soon as your current temp rises above your cooling setpoint (CSP). Stage 2 compressor will engage when you breach CSP + Deadband. As Current temperatures come back down Stage 2 will disengage when you drop below your CSP. Stage 1 will disengage when you drop below CSP - Hysteresis value.
Heating Mode - If the zone requires heating, then the reversing valve will move into the heating position whether that is open or closed depends on your configuration. Stage 1 compressor will engage as soon as your current temp drops below your heating setpoint (HSP). Stage 2 compressor will engage when you breach HSP - Deadband. As Current temperatures come back up Stage 2 will disengage when you rise above your HSP. Stage 1 will disengage when you rise above HSP + Hysteresis value.
Fan Control -Fan control can be configured to meet your requirements. Options include the fan running only during a call for heating or cooling (Auto), the fan constantly on only during Occupied (Fan Occupied Period), or the fan on during both Occupied and Unoccupied (Fan All Times).
The diagrams below show the application of the Deadband and Hysteresis Band and their role:

| Wiring
| Configuration
Once you've paired the Smart Stat as a profile, you will need to select a few specific configuration parameters that define the physical characteristics of your heat pump unit.
| Configuration Parameters
Parameters | Usage/Purpose/Trigger |
Compressor Stage 1 | To enable your Compressor Stage 1 control. |
Compressor Stage 2 | To enable your Compressor Stage 2 control if equipped. |
Fan Low Speed | To enable fan control. |
Aux Heating Stage 1 | To enable your Aux Heating Stage if equipped. |
Fan High Speed | To enable High-Speed Fan. |
Heat Pump Changeover | Select the appropriate setting for your Heat Pump, either energize in O (cooling) or energize in B (heating). |
Airflow Temperature Sensor | Only selects If using an airflow sensor. These are helpful for troubleshooting. |
Enable Occupancy Setting | Select if you would like to use the Occupancy Setting for setpoint control. |
Use External 10k Temp Sensing | Only select if you are using an external 10k sensor for room temperature detection. This will disable the temperature sensor mounted in the Smart Stat and only use the remote sensor. |
