| Overview

This check verifies the network connectivity of your Central Control Unit (CCU). This diagnostic check will verify 1 of 2 connection modes:

  • Wireless: via Wi-Fi
  • Wired: via Ethernet

NOTE: This does not verify the health of the wireless mesh network. That is done by the Zone Mesh Connectivity Check.

| When it passes

A PASS means your CCU is successfully connected to the internet with a strong signal.

| When it fails

A FAIL means we could not verify the health of your CCU's cloud network connection. The signal may have dropped too many times or the reception may be too low.

| Common causes

  1. Check the CCU's proximity to the wireless router or access point. Is it too far?
  2. There may be too many obstructions such as metal ductwork or concrete, which would block RF.
