| Overview

This check verifies the zone CO2 sensor quality on your SmartNodes and HyperStats.

| When it passes

A PASS means your zones' CO2 sensors are working correctly and reading within acceptable ranges.

| When it fails

A FAIL means the zone’s CO2 sensor data was not reading correctly. It was either out of acceptable IAQ range or showed abnormal data when compared to the other zones. For example, in the report below, the CO2 sensor was reading 0ppm:

| Common causes

This check may fail if there is no CO2 sensor paired. Otherwise, this typically occurs due to one of two reasons:

  1. Bad wiring: The connectors may have loosened or the wires may not have been spliced correctly.
  2. Broken sensor: The sensor may be defective.

| Next Steps

  1. Verify sensor wiring. The connections may not have seated correctly.
  2. Was the failure observed in one zone or many zones? Are other sensors for the zone (e.g. temperature sensor) reading correctly? Failures across multiple zones would indicate unexpected environmental conditions.
  3. If the wiring is correct, you may need to replace the sensor.
