| Overview

This check runs on the following zones with dampers:

  • VAV
  • DAB
  • Bypass
  • Modulating reheat actuator

| When it passes

A PASS means your zones' damper actuators are working correctly and responding to actuation commands. This can be verified by observing a strong correlation between the actuation signal and the feedback sensor:

| When it fails

A FAIL means the zone damper actuator did not correctly respond to the actuation signal. As shown in the example below, when the damper was instructed to ramp up, the feedback sensor reported unexpected position data.

| Common causes

  1. The actuator mechanism may be faulty
  2. The damper may be mechanically stuck
  3. The actuator signal or feedback wiring could be incorrect

| Next Steps

  1. Verify the actuator and damper are correctly operating using manual output from the node.
  2. Confirm the wiring and ensure the terminals are connected correctly.
