| Overview

This check verifies the zone damper operation in multi-zone configurations. This is achieved by modulating the zone dampers while conditioning the zones, and inspecting the discharge-air and zone-temp responses.

This check will be SKIPPED if the outside-air temperature is below 50°F and no heating equipment is installed.

| When it passes

A PASS means your zone dampers are wired correctly and adequately modulating airflow to the zones.

| When it fails

A FAIL means the dampers are not providing adequate airflow to the zones.

| Common causes

This typically occurs due to one of two reasons:

  1. Dampers are operating in reverse of what is configured
  2. Zones are not served by the correct system equip (ductwork is different than pairing)

| Next Steps

  1. Verify damper operation using manual output from the node.
  2. Verify duct layout.
