Easy Street FAQ: Zone Cooling Check

| Overview

This check verifies the cooling capability of the standalone cooling equipment.

This check will be SKIPPED if any of the following is true:

• The outdoor-air temps are too low (below 50F): this ensures we do not freeze out the ducts
• The unit is configured for Heating Only

| When it passes 

A PASS means the cooling unit is working as expected, and adequately conditioned the zone being served.

| When it fails

A FAIL means the unit did not respond to the cooling commands or adequately cool the zone. 

| Common causes

The cooling unit is not working correctly due to incorrect wiring or bad sensor placement.

| Next Steps

1. Verify cooling equipment operation using manual output from the node or stat.
2. Verify sensor placement and ductwork layout if some zones are not reporting data consistent with others.
