Easy Street FAQ: Zone Heating Check

| Overview

This check verifies the heating capability of the standalone heating equipment.

This check will be SKIPPED if the unit is configured for Cooling Only.

| When it passes 

A PASS means the heating unit is working as expected, and adequately conditioned the zone being served.

| When it fails

A FAIL means the unit did not respond to the heating commands or adequately warm the zone. In the example below, even though the unit responded correctly at 50% load, it did not respond to the 100% load, as measured by the DAT and temp sensor delta, thus failing the check.

| Common causes

The heating unit is not working correctly due to incorrect wiring or bad sensor placement.

| Next Steps

1. Verify heeating equipment operation using manual output from the node or stat.
2. Verify sensor placement and ductwork layout if some zones are not reporting data consistent with others.
