| Overview

The remote tuner command is a feature of the 75F system, with which the hardware installed in a building can be updated remotely and a few commands can be sent from the support portal.

The feature is available at two different locations in the support portal, to remotely control the hardware.

  • In the Tuners section of the heatmap page for a particular site: 
        • To update and command the devices linked to a particular CCU
        • To update and command devices in a zone.
  • In the Tuners page of the support portal:
        • To update and command devices in a building.
        • To update and command devices in multiple buildings, using the smart group's option.

| Remote Tuner Commands from the Heatmap Page

To access remote tuner commands from the heatmap page of the support portal.

  • Log into the support/ internal portal.
  • Click HEATMAP.
  • Select a particular site/ building.

The heatmap screen for the selected site is displayed.

| To update and command the devices linked to a particular CCU, at a time.

  • Click the CCU.

The visualization screen for the CCU is displayed.

  • Scroll to the System tuners section.
  • Expand the system tuners section.
  • Click the drop-down next to the select command field.

  • Select any of the following options.
Option Description and Action Required
Restart CCU

To restart the CCU app (Note: not the physical hardware)

  • Click applymceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

Restart Home App

To restart the Home App installed in the CCU

  • Click applyapply.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

Restart Tablet

To restart the tablet where the CCU app is installed.

Reinit CM

To send a command to reinitialize the connection between the control mote(CM) and the tablet.

  • Click applymceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

Update CCU

To push remote updates to the CCU:

  • Select the required version details from the list available.

Note: The CCU version list with the recommended version, is updated by the internal team in an internal application to be made available for use here.

Update All HyperStat

To update the firmware version of all the HyperStat paired to the CCU (If any are paired).

  • Enter the firmware version details to be updated for the hardware in the field provided.
  • Click applymceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

Save CCU logs

To save the CCU logs to the backend (Azure)

Update All SmartNodes

To update the firmware version of all the SmartNodes paired to the CCU (If any are paired).

  • Enter the firmware version details to be updated for the hardware in the field provided.
  • Click applymceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

Update All ITMs

To update the firmware version of all the ITMs paired to the CCU (If any are paired)

  • Enter the firmware version details to be updated for the hardware in the field provided.
  • Click applymceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

Update All HelioNode

To update the firmware version of all the HelioNodes paired to the CCU (If any are paired).

  • Enter the firmware version details to be updated for the hardware in the field provided.

Update All CM Boards

To update the CM board version of all the CM boards used in the site or building.

  • Enter the CM board version details to be updated for the hardware in the field provided.
  • Click apply mceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

Exit Safe Mode

To exit a CCU from the safe mode (CCU that had consecutive crashes and had entered the safe mode)

  • Click apply mceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the exit

| To update and command the devices linked to a particular Zone, at a time.

  • Click any zone.

The visualization screen for the zone is displayed.

  • Scroll to the Zone Tuners section.
  • Expand the Zone Tuners section.
  • Click the drop-down next to the select command field.

  • Select any of the following options.
      • Update All Hyperstats - To update the firmware version of all the Hyperstats paired to the CCU (If any are paired)
      • Update All SmartNodes- To update the firmware version of all the SmartNodes paired to the CCU (If any are paired)
      • Update All ITMs- To update the firmware version of all the ITMs paired to the CCU (If any are paired)
      • Update All HelioNode -To update the firmware version of all the HelioNodes paired to the CCU (If any are paired).
      • Restart All Modules- To restart module-level equipment.
  • Enter the firmware version details to be updated for the hardware in the field provided.
  • Click applymceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

The "Remote Command has been sent" message is displayed.

| Remote Tuner Commands from Tuners Page

To access remote tuner commands from the tuners screen of the support portal.

  • Log into the support/ internal portal.
  • Click the menu mceclip3.png icon.
  • Select Tuners.

The tuner screen is displayed.

  • Click Tuners under the Apply Tuners section.

The building that is grouped as smart groups and the other buildings under the section of the ungrouped building are displayed.

Smart groups are a group of specified building clusters which may follow a similar pattern, property, or structure.

| To update and command devices in multiple buildings at a time, using the smart groups option

  • Select any of the smart groups, to update and send remote commands to a group of buildings
  • Click the drop-down next to the select command field.

  • Select any of the following options.
      • Restart All CCUs- To restart all CCU apps, in all the buildings under the smart group (not the physical hardware)
      • Restart All Tablets- To restart all tablets where the CCU app is installed, in all the buildings under the smart group.
      • Reinit All CMs- To send a command to reinitialize the connection between the control mote (CM) and the tablet, in all the buildings under the smart group.
  • Click applymceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

The "Remote Command has been sent" message is displayed.

      • Update All CCUs- To push remote updates to the CCUs, in all the buildings under the smart group e.g., CCUV2_137.5.apk
  • Enter the updated version details in the field provided e.g., CCUV2_137.5.apk.
  • Click applymceclip1.png icon next to the command to confirm the update.

The "Remote Command has been sent" message is displayed.

    •  
      • Update All Hyperstats - To update the firmware version of all the HyperStat paired to the CCUs (If any are paired), in all the buildings under the smart group.

  • Expand the Ungrouped Buildings option.
  • Select any particular building

  • Select any of the following options.
      • Restart All CCUs- To restart all CCU apps, in the selected buildings (not the physical hardware)
      • Restart All Tablets- To restart all tablets where the CCU app is installed, in the selected building.

Note: The devices need to be rebooted (with an OTA reboot command or a manual reboot) for the CCU to pick up the latest version of the FW, which was updated via the OTA remote command or the bundled OTA update (for release versions 3.0.3 and above) and display it in the portal for viewing.
