| Overview

Easy Street is an automated commissioning tool that validates the functionality and logic of profiles connected to a 75F CCU. By replacing manual testing with a standardized backend validation script, Easy Street helps ensure consistent results, reduces commissioning time, and provides a comprehensive assessment of system health.

Users can initiate an installation test from the Easy Street page for a selected CCU. The test automatically evaluates profile points and control logic, then generates a site installation score that reflects the accuracy and completeness of the configuration.

Facility managers and other authorized users can review these scores and test results to verify installation quality and identify potential issues.

 

| Access Easy Street

To access Easy Street:

  • Log in to the Internal Portal.
  • Select Easy Street from the available dashboard options.
  • Select the desired site from the Select Site drop-down list to view Easy Street data for that site.

     

  • The Easy Street Home Page is displayed, providing access to site installation scores, validation results, checkout reports, and diagnostic tools.

| Site Installation Score

The Site Installation Score provides an overall assessment of the quality and completeness of HVAC device installations across Zone and System Profiles. The score is calculated based on the results of automated Easy Street validation checks and is displayed as a gauge chart on the left side of the page.

The gauge indicates the percentage of successful checks performed on the selected site's devices and control logic, helping users quickly evaluate installation health and identify areas that require attention.

Higher scores indicate that more validation checks have passed, while lower scores suggest configuration, connectivity, or logic issues that should be reviewed and resolved before site handoff.

Score Indicators

Installation Score
Overview
95% and above (Green)Excellent installation quality with minimal or no issues detected.
Between 75% and 95% (Blue)Installation is functional but requires attention to unresolved issues.
Below 75% (Orange)Significant issues were detected, and corrective actions are recommended.

Metrics

The Metrics section displays all CCUs associated with the selected site along with their individual installation scores. These scores are generated based on the results of Easy Street automated validation tests and provide visibility into the performance and health of each CCU.

Metrics Table:

CCU NameDisplays the name of the CCU associated with the selected site.
ScoreShows the installation score and status generated from Easy Street validation checks.
RunInitiates an installation test for the selected CCU.
ProgressOpens detailed results and progress information for the test run.

The CCU Metrics list is populated automatically when a site is selected. Users can run diagnostic checks for all CCUs using the Run All CCUs option or initiate a test Run for an individual CCU directly from the list. 

The Run All CCUs option allows users to initiate Easy Street validation tests for all CCUs associated with the selected site simultaneously.

To run tests for all CCUs:

  • Click Run All CCUs in the Metrics section.

  • A Confirmation dialog box appears asking whether you want to run tests on all CCUs.

  • A 10-second countdown timer is displayed to prevent accidental test execution.

  • Once the countdown completes, the Run button becomes available.

  • Click Run to start validation tests for all CCUs in the selected site.

The system then initiates the Easy Street test workflow for each CCU and begins collecting validation results.

Note: Running tests for all CCUs may take several minutes depending on the number of CCUs associated with the site. Users can monitor the status and results from the Progress section for each CCU.

 

The Run option allows users to initiate an Easy Street validation test for a specific CCU.

To run a test for an individual CCU:

  • In the Metrics section, locate the desired CCU.

  • Click the Run icon corresponding to the CCU.

  • A Confirmation dialog box appears, prompting you to confirm the test execution for the selected CCU.

  • A 10-second countdown timer is displayed to prevent accidental test execution.

  • Upon completion of the countdown, the Run button becomes active.

  • Click Run to start the Easy Street validation test for the selected CCU.

The system begins executing the validation workflow and updates the test status as the checks progress.

Note: Running a test on an individual CCU affects only the selected CCU. Users can monitor the execution status and review the test results through the Progress option once the test is initiated.

The Score column shows the current installation status and percentage score for each CCU, helping users quickly identify systems that may require attention. 

Note: Scores are updated after each successful test execution and reflect the latest validation results for the selected CCU.

The Progress option provides access to the Diagnostic Checkout page, where users can monitor test progress, review completed and skipped validation stages and view detailed diagnostic results for the selected CCU.

 

| Site Checkout Report

The Site Checkout Report provides a detailed view of the validation results generated by Easy Street for the selected site. The report displays a horizontal list of all CCUs associated with the site, allowing users to view installation test results for individual CCUs or review site-wide findings through the Punch List tab.

The Site Checkout Report consists of the following components:

Punch List 

The Punch List Summary provides an overview of the validation results by displaying:

Total ChecksThe total number of automated validation checks performed.
PassedThe number of checks that completed successfully.
FailedThe number of checks that did not meet the expected criteria and require attention.

This summary enables users to quickly assess the overall installation quality and identify whether corrective actions are required.


Individual CCU Report

The Individual CCU Report provides detailed validation results for a selected CCU. It enables users to review the outcome of each Easy Street check and troubleshoot issues identified during the installation validation process.


For each CCU, the report displays:

Total ChecksThe total number of validation checks performed.
PassedThe number of checks that completed successfully.
FailedThe number of checks that did not meet the expected criteria.
Root CauseA description of the likely cause of the failed check.
RecommendationSuggested corrective actions to resolve the identified issue.
Affected EntitiesThe equipment, zones, or devices impacted by the failed check.
Helpful ArticlesLinks to supporting documentation and troubleshooting resources.

Users can review the information provided for each failed check to diagnose installation, configuration, or logic issues and take the necessary corrective actions.

 

Performance Insights

To visualize the data associated with a failed check, click View Analytics on the desired validation result.

The Performance Analytics widget expands within the failed check and displays historical trend data collected during the test execution.

These visualizations help users:

  • Analyze trends leading to the failed result.
  • Compare behavior across affected entities.
  • Identify abnormal sensor readings or control values.
  • Validate root cause findings using historical data.
  • Verify corrective actions after rerunning the test.

Sort By Entity

Select the Sort By Entity toggle to organize the checklist results by affected entity. When enabled, all failed and associated validation results are grouped under the corresponding equipment or zone, making it easier to review issues related to a specific entity.

View Analytics 

The View Analytics For filter allows users to control which validation checks are displayed in the Site Checkout Report. This helps users focus on specific checkout results by filtering the checklist based on the validation status of the checks.

Failed Checks Only
Displays only the validation checks that failed during the Easy Street test run. Use this option to focus on issues that require corrective action.
Passed & Failed Checks
Displays both passed and failed validation checks. This option provides a balanced view of successful validations and identified issues.
Passed, Failed & Skipped Checks
Displays all validation checks, including passed, failed, and skipped checks. Use this option to review the complete test execution results.

Historical Logs

The Historical Logs section provides a record of previous Easy Street test executions for the selected CCU. Each log entry includes the test execution date, time, and the user or process that initiated the test.

Users can select a history entry to view the corresponding site checkout report and review the validation results from that specific test run. This capability helps track changes over time, compare test outcomes, and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.


By default, the 10 most recent test executions are available in the Historical Logs section.

Downloading and Sharing a Report

Easy Street allows users to download and share site validation results, as well as CCU-specific reports directly from the Site Checkout Report section.

To download a CCU report:

  • Navigate to the desired CCU tab within the Site Checkout Report.
  • In the History section, locate the test execution for which you want to generate a report.
  • Click the Download icon displayed next to the selected history entry.
The system generates and downloads the CCU Easy Street report for the selected test execution.
The downloaded report is available in PDF format and contains the validation results, failed checks, recommendations, affected entities, and other diagnostic details associated with the selected CCU.

To download a site report:

  • Click the Download icon located in the upper-right corner of the Easy Street page.

  • Select Download Report from the available options. 

  • The system generates and downloads the Easy Street report.

The downloaded report is saved in PDF format and includes:

  • Site Installation Score
  • CCU Metrics
  • Punch List Summary
  • Failed Check Results
  • Affected Entities
  • Site Checkout Report details

The PDF report can be shared with facility managers, commissioning engineers, and other stakeholders to review site installation quality, validation results, and outstanding issues.

Note: The downloaded report reflects the validation results available at the time of download. To ensure the report contains the latest data, run Easy Street tests before generating the report.

Troubleshoot Failed Tests

Using Saffron AI, Easy Street provides intelligent troubleshooting assistance for failed validation checks by recommending relevant articles from the 75F Zendesk Knowledge Base.

When a check fails, Easy Street automatically identifies related knowledge base articles and displays them in the Helpful Articles section of the failed check. These articles provide additional guidance, troubleshooting steps, best practices, and reference information to help users resolve the issue.

To troubleshoot a failed test:

  • Review the Root Cause and Recommendation provided for the failed check.
  • Navigate to the Helpful Articles section within the failed check.
  • Select the recommended knowledge base article.
  • Review the troubleshooting guidance and corrective actions.
  • Implement the recommended changes and rerun the validation test to verify the issue has been resolved.

 

| Scheduler

The Scheduler tab allows users to schedule, monitor, and manage Easy Street validation tests for CCUs. It provides a centralized view of active test runs, upcoming scheduled tests, and the status of previously configured schedules.

The Scheduler page consists of the following sections:

Active Tests

The Active Tests section displays scheduled and currently running Easy Street tests for all CCUs associated with the selected site. It provides a timeline-based view that helps users track test activity throughout the selected date range.

Users can:

  • View active and scheduled test runs.
  • Monitor the status of test executions.
  • Identify which CCUs have scheduled tests.
  • Review test activity for a specific date range.

Timeline

The Timeline displays test activities for the selected date range in a calendar-style view.

Date Range Selector

The date range selector allows users to specify the period for which test schedules and activities are displayed.
  • Click the Calendar icon to select a date range.
  • The timeline updates automatically based on the selected dates.
  • Users can review active, completed, scheduled, or aborted tests within the chosen period.

Timeline Grid

The Timeline Grid displays Easy Street test activity for the selected date range. Depending on the duration selected, the timeline automatically adjusts its view to present test data at different levels of granularity.

  • For shorter date ranges, the timeline displays hourly intervals, allowing users to monitor test activity throughout the day.

  • For longer date ranges, the timeline displays daily or weekly intervals, providing a broader view of scheduled and completed test executions across multiple days or months.

CCU List

The left panel displays all CCUs associated with the selected site.

Examples shown:
  • Dev/Support
  • Sales
  • Training Room CCU
Each CCU appears as a separate row in the timeline, allowing users to track test activity independently.
 

Test Status Legend

The legend at the top of the timeline provides a visual representation of test statuses.

StatusDescription
ExcellentIndicates the test completed successfully with excellent installation health and minimal issues detected.
GoodIndicates the test completed successfully and met expected validation criteria.
Needs FocusIndicates issues were identified that require review or corrective action.
AbortedIndicates the test was stopped before completion.
In-ProgressIndicates a test is currently running.
ScheduledIndicates a test has been scheduled but has not started yet.

No Active Tests Message

When no tests exist for the selected date range, the timeline displays the message:

No active tests found in selected date range.
This indicates that no scheduled, active, or completed test runs are available during the selected period.

Schedule Test

The Schedule Test feature allows users to automate Easy Street validation tests for selected CCUs. Scheduled tests run automatically at the configured time, helping users monitor installation health and system performance without manual intervention.

Schedule Test Dialog

The Schedule Test dialog provides options to configure either a one-time test or a recurring test.

Schedule Test Fields

Field

Select CCUs
Select the CCU for which the Easy Street test will be scheduled. The list displays all CCUs associated with the selected site.
Notify To (Optional)
Select one or more users to receive notifications related to the scheduled test execution and results.
Start Date
Specifies the date on which the test should run.
Start Time
Specifies the time at which the test will be executed.
Recurring Test
Enables recurring test scheduling and displays additional recurrence options.
Add Test
Creates the test schedule using the configured parameters.
Cancel
Closes the dialog without saving the schedule.

Create a One-Time Schedule Test

A one-time schedule allows Easy Street to execute a test once at the specified date and time.

To schedule a one-time test:

  • Navigate to Scheduler and click Schedule Test.
  • The Schedule Test dialog box is displayed.
  • Select the required CCU.
  • Optionally select users under Notify To.
  • Select the Start Date.
  • Select the Start Time.
  • Ensure the Recurring Test toggle is disabled.
  • Click Add Test.
  • The test is added to the schedule and executes automatically at the specified date and time.

Recurring Test Schedule

The Recurring Test option allows users to automate recurring Easy Street validation tests. This is useful for periodically verifying site health, identifying operational issues, and monitoring system performance over time. 

Enable the Recurring Test toggle to configure a repeating schedule.

To schedule a recurring test:

  • Navigate to Scheduler and click Schedule Test.

  • The Schedule Test dialog box is displayed.
  • Select the required CCU.
  • Optionally select users under Notify To.
  • Enable the Recurring Test toggle.
  • Choose the recurrence frequency from the Repeat Every list.
  • Specify the Start Date & End Date range.
  • Select the execution Time.
  • Review the schedule summary to verify the recurrence settings before clicking Add Test.
  • Click Add Test.
  • The recurring schedule is created and displayed in the Scheduled Tests section.

     

Edit a Scheduled Test

The Edit Test option allows users to modify an existing Easy Street test schedule. Users can update the selected CCU, notification recipients, recurrence settings, date range, and execution time without creating a new schedule.

To edit a scheduled test:

  • Navigate to the Scheduler tab.
  • Locate the desired schedule in the Scheduled Tests section.
  • Click the Edit icon under the Actions column.
  • The Edit Test dialog box appears with the current schedule configuration.
  • Modify the required fields.
  • Review the updated schedule summary.
  • Click Update to save the changes.
  • The updated schedule is reflected in both the Scheduled Tests table and the Timeline view.

Manage Scheduled Tests

Users can directly manage a scheduled test from the Scheduled Tests section.

  • Hover over a scheduled test to view details such as the CCU name, scheduled date and time, and test status.

  • Click the scheduled test to open the Actions menu.
  • From the Actions menu, select Edit Test to modify the schedule configuration or Delete Test to remove the scheduled test.
  • A confirmation dialog box appears to prevent accidental deletion.
Users can then choose one of the following options: 
  • Delete: Permanently removes the scheduled test.
  • Cancel: Closes the dialog without deleting the schedule.

This provides a quick and convenient way to manage scheduled tests directly from the Scheduler timeline without navigating to the Scheduled Tests table.

Scenario 1: Scheduling a Test for an Offline CCU

When a user selects a CCU that is currently offline while creating or editing a scheduled Easy Street test, the system displays a warning message below the schedule summary. This notification helps users identify connectivity issues before saving the schedule.

If the selected CCU is offline, Easy Street displays an alert message containing:

  • The name of the affected CCU.
  • The current connectivity status of the CCU.
  • The date and time when the CCU was last reported online.

Example:

The selected CCU has been offline.

Scenario 2: Monthly Recurring Schedule on the 31st Day

When a user configures a monthly recurring test with a schedule date that falls on the 31st day of the month, Easy Street validates whether all months within the selected date range contain 31 days.

Since some months have fewer than 31 days, Easy Street displays a warning message to inform the user how the schedule will be handled for those months.

 

Warning Message

If the recurring schedule is configured to run on the 31st day of every month, and one or more months within the selected date range do not have a 31st day, the following warning message is displayed:

For few months, the occurrence will fall on the last day of the month.

| Metrics

The Metrics tab provides performance-based recommendations generated from Easy Street test executions. It analyzes HVAC equipment behavior and compares the current operational performance against previously observed performance to identify optimization opportunities. Based on the analysis, Easy Street recommends tuner values that can be applied to improve system performance.

 

Note: The Metrics page displays data from the selected test run. The test execution date, time, and user who initiated the test are displayed at the top of the page.

Metrics Components:

Sort by Entity

The Sort by Entity toggle allows users to organize metric results by equipment entity rather than by metric category.

When enabled, all available metrics for a specific device are grouped together, making it easier to review performance data and recommendations for a single entity.

 

Metric Categories

Metrics are grouped into categories based on the type of performance being analyzed.

Examples include:

  • Standalone Cooling Rate
  • Standalone Heating Rate
  • System Cooling Rate
  • System Heating Rate

The number displayed beside each category indicates the total number of entities included in that metric group.

Entity

The Entity column displays the equipment or profile for which the performance metric has been calculated.

Examples:

  • Zone12-hyperstatCPU-9509
  • Zone15-hyperstatCPU-9512
  • CCU1-vavStagedRtuVfdFan

Actual

The Actual column displays the performance value measured during the most recent Easy Street test execution.

Performance indicators show whether the value is higher or lower than the comparison test run.

Examples:

  • ▲ 1.00 min/°F Higher 
  • ▼ 3.41 min/°F Lower

These indicators help users quickly identify changes in equipment performance.

Expected

The Expected column displays the target or recommended performance value for the selected entity. This value serves as a reference point when evaluating system performance and tuner recommendations.

Compare With

The Compare With option allows users to compare the current test run against a previous Easy Street test execution.

Selecting a different historical test updates the comparison values and analytics, helping users:

  • Track performance changes over time.
  • Evaluate optimization efforts.
  • Compare historical and current operating conditions.

Performance Analytics

Expanding an entity displays the Performance Analytics chart.

The chart visualizes historical performance data from previous test executions and helps users understand how equipment performance varies under different operating conditions.

Apply Tuner Value

The Apply Tuner Value option allows users to apply a recommended tuner value to an individual entity directly from the Metrics page.

Easy Street generates tuner recommendations based on historical performance analysis and test results. Applying the recommended tuner value can help optimize equipment performance and improve operational efficiency.

To apply a tuner value:

  • Locate the desired entity.

  • Click Apply Tuner Value.

  • Review the recommendation details displayed in the confirmation dialog.

  • Click Apply to update the tuner value.

The confirmation dialog includes:

Current ValueThe currently configured tuner value. 
LevelRecommendation level. 
WhoThe user or source that generated the recommendation. 
Tuner ValueThe recommended value to be applied.

Note: Applying a tuner value permanently overrides the current tuner configuration for the selected entity.

Bulk Apply Tuner Value

The Bulk Apply Tuner Value option allows users to apply all recommended tuner values within a metric category simultaneously.

Instead of updating each entity individually, users can apply tuning recommendations to multiple entities using a single action.

For example, users can bulk apply recommendations to all entities within:

  • Standalone Cooling Rate
  • Standalone Heating Rate
  • System Cooling Rate
  • System Heating Rate

To apply tuner values in bulk:

  • Review the metric category and recommended values.

  • Click Bulk Apply Tuner Value.

  • Review the confirmation details.

  • Click Apply to update all applicable entities.

Bulk Apply simplifies large-scale tuning activities and helps ensure consistent configuration across similar equipment.

Benefits of Bulk Apply Tuner Value

  • Reduces manual configuration effort.
  • Applies recommendations to multiple entities simultaneously.
  • Maintains consistency across equipment.
  • Accelerates optimization activities.
  • Simplifies site-wide performance tuning.
Important: Bulk applying tuner values updates all eligible entities within the selected metric category. Review recommendations carefully before proceeding.
