| Introduction
At 75F, different tools are made on the website to solve specific user issues. For instance, a Summary Table for clearer views and control of equipment data, and Custom Widgets to create charts for monitoring equipment data within a specific time. Each tool uses its own design, which makes it hard for users to work smoothly. Tasks such as building, viewing, choosing, updating, and sharing their work aren't consistent.
To curb this, a Common Framework is introduced across tools to maintain a consistent design pattern and workflow so as to improve and increase user engagement. This would also help users engage in a standardized sharing mechanism and contribute more frequently to the system.
The common framework provides the users with a consistent builder, sharing mechanism, like, bookmark, adding description, and custom arrangement capability across the following toolsets:
- Summary table
- Heatmap Filters
- Custom Parameters
- Analytics
- Site Sequencer
| Features
The Common framework includes the following features:
1. Consistent Sharing Framework: Users will have the capability to share their work across all the common tools under the framework.
The user will have the option to share the work with internal support users only or share it across both the Internal Support Portal and Facilisight users.
2. Consistent Builder: The user will have the capability to use a consistent builder to create items, from selecting build type to selecting scope type and option to query from builder or custom, so that the complete flow of information is consistent.
3. Add and View Description: The creator can add descriptions that are typically expected to be used in the why and what framework. This would help other users to understand what and why of the creation which would further help in selecting the work in view once the work has been shared. There is a limit of 4000 characters for the why and what framework.
4. Customized View and Arrangement: Users will have the flexibility to arrange the view to cater to the dynamic requirements of the site which will help users to create customized views based on the site preference.
5. Like and Bookmark Capability: Users will have the capability to like the work which are shared by others and bookmark the items for their own personal preference.
| Common Pool Dropdown Component
The common pool dropdown component is a primary component of the framework where the user will have options to visualize, like, share, bookmark, view count, and description of all the items shared by other users. It is a novel way of bringing in all the information under a common viewing platform. The common pool component is divided into three parts:
Component | Particulars |
Predefined |
Note: Predefined view is only available for filters |
Created by Me |
|
Shared by Others |
Note: Sharing is only applicable for system integrators and L2 users. |
