| Introduction

With Blockly, users can define calculated parameters by selecting and combining predefined point parameters or variables from the Heatmap filter using a query mechanism. Moreover, Blockly would provide a visual interface where users can drag and drop blocks to construct formulas without the need for any coding knowledge. Heatmap filters with blockly enabled helps the user to build formulas on top of the loop conditions such as calculating the delta between sensor points and setpoints, calculating chiller tonnage, etc. Some advantages include:

  • Clearer Understanding: Visual representations facilitate understanding of relationships and patterns in data, aiding in deeper insights.
  • Improved Decision Making: Utilizing visual aids to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues empowers users to make data-driven decisions with greater insight and clarity.
  • Increased Engagement: Combining interactive visualizations with customizable formulas fosters user engagement and encourages data exploration, promoting an active and data-driven approach to analysis.
  • Democratized Data Analysis: The visual, block-based interface of the Blockly framework for crafting calculations empowers users of diverse technical backgrounds to participate in data analysis, broadening accessibility to a broader spectrum of stakeholders.

The Common Heatmap filter feature gives users scope to create and share heatmap filters easily. It includes options like liking, bookmarking, adding descriptions, and arranging items on the table.

There are three main options in the selection pool:

  • Predefined: These are options already made by the system and available for all users on the website.
  • Created by me: This section includes items I've made, whether they're for myself or shared with others.
  • Shared by others: This part shows items that other users have shared.

| Features

Like & Bookmark Capability: Users will have the capability to like the work that is shared by others and bookmark the items for their personal preference.

  • Login to Internal Portal

Note: Default Filters are represented with a star icon.

Consistent Sharing Framework: Creators will have the option to share their work within a consistent sharing framework.

Adding & Viewing Description: The creator will have to add descriptions (Why/What) which are typically expected to use the why and what framework. If users are sharing their work, then other users can view the description to understand why and what part of the creation and they will help them to select the work in the view.

| Sections

Predefined: The "Predefined" section offers users the ability to browse through system-generated items with ease. Users can filter these items by selecting options from a dropdown menu. Within this section, users will find a separate accordion labeled "Predefined," which they can hide by clicking on it. A common search feature is available at the top, enabling text-based searches for predefined items.

In terms of organization, all system-generated items are sorted alphabetically for user convenience. However, users do not have the option to like or bookmark predefined items. Additionally, they cannot edit or view the conditions within the builder for these items.

Created by Me: The "Created by me" section contains both personal and shared items created by the user. Users can customize their view by selecting options from a dropdown menu. Within this section, users will find a separate accordion labeled "Created by me," which they can hide by clicking on it. A common search feature is available at the top, facilitating text-based searches for items created by the user.

Shared by Others: The "Shared by Others" section contains items shared by other users. Users can add these items to their view by selecting options from a dropdown menu. Within this section, users will find a separate accordion labeled "Shared by Others," which they can hide by clicking on it. A common search feature is available at the top, allowing text-based searches for items shared by others.

In terms of organization, bookmarked items are prioritized at the top, sorted based on like count, and arranged alphabetically. Items that are not bookmarked are then sorted based on the like count and arranged alphabetically as well.

When a new item is shared, it is automatically sorted based on like count and arranged alphabetically. Users can like items shared by others, which helps in indicating popular or preferred filters within the shared items section.

| Add Calculated Parameters

This feature allows user to add, update, and delete calculated parameters using the blockly framework . The user needs to add at least one parameter using query mechanism to function calculated parameters or else Add Calculated Parameter will be disable or not available for a use. Once the user adds a point parameter, "Add Calculated Parameters" will be available to use.

  • Functions
  • Sequence Templates

Editing, Deleting or Viewing Blockly parameters

Users can edit or delete conditions/rules on the builder. If the user tries to edit/delete the table then a confirmation message will pop-up stating the number of sites that will get impacted, the number of likes received, and the number of bookmarks by individuals.
