| Dynamic Setback Temperature

What does Setback mean? Setback is the temperature your zone will be allowed to drift to before your HVAC system is engaged during unoccupied hours. 75F does not have a static setback temp. Rather we dynamically adjust setbacks at the zone level. This allows your system to more consistently get back to your desired temperature during the next occupied period.

What is my Setback temperature? Setback is based on your next scheduled desired temperature and the unoccupiedZoneSetback tuner.

Cooling Example - During warmer months, if your next scheduled desired cooling temperature is 72'F, and your setback tuner is set to 5, the setback is set to 77'F.  In this case, the system will let the temperature drift, and only bring cooling on if the zone temperature goes all the way up to 77'F. The setback temperature will be maintained until Preconditioning starts.

Heating Example - During cooler months, if your next scheduled desired heating temperature is 68'F, and your setback tuner is set to 5, the setback is set to 63'F.  In this case, the system will let the temperature drift, and only bring heating on if the zone temperature goes all the way down to 63'F. The setback temperature will be maintained until Preconditioning starts.
