| Dynamic Setback Temperature

| What does Setback mean?

Setback is the temperature range zone that is allowed to drift to during unoccupied hours before the HVAC system engages.

75F does not use a fixed setback temperature. Instead, setback values are dynamically adjusted at the zone level based on upcoming occupancy and scheduled conditions. This helps the system efficiently return the zone to the desired temperature before the next occupied period.

| What is my Setback temperature?

Your setback temperature is determined by the next scheduled desired temperature configured in your scheduling settings.

You can set the setback temperatures for the unoccupied times of the schedule from the Shared Schedule option within the system as shown below.

The setback temperatures for the autoAway times & Demand Response-enabled zones can be set from the tuners page.

Demand Response Setback (°F)

| Cooling Example

During warmer months, if your next scheduled desired cooling temperature is 72'F, and your setback tuners are set to 5, the setback is set to 77'F.  In this case, the system will let the temperature drift, and only bring cooling on if the zone temperature goes all the way up to 77'F. The setback temperature will be maintained until Preconditioning starts.

| Heating Example

During cooler months, if your next scheduled desired heating temperature is 68'F, and your setback tuners are set to 5, the setback is set to 63'F.  In this case, the system will let the temperature drift, and only bring heating on if the zone temperature goes all the way down to 63'F. The setback temperature will be maintained until Preconditioning starts.
