How are Trim & Respond Requests Generated in a VAV zone?

| System Requests

These Requests are sent upstream to the plant or system that serves the zone. A higher number of requests could yield a faster response from the system.

Cooling SAT Reset Requests

• If the Cooling Loop is less than 85%, send 0 Requests
• If the Cooling Loop is greater than 95%, send 1 Request
• If the room temperature is greater than (or) equal to the cooling setpoint by 3°F, send 2 Requests
• If the room temperature is greater than (or) equal to the cooling setpoint by 5°F, send 3 Requests

Heating HWST Reset Requests

• If the HW valve is less than 85%, send 0 Requests
• If the HW valve is greater than 95%, send 1 Request
• If the supply air temperature is 15°F less than the heating setpoint, send 2 Requests
• If the supply air temperature is 30°F less than the heating setpoint, send 3 Requests

Static Pressure Reset Requests

• If the Damper Loop is less than 65%, send 0 Requests
• If the Damper Loop is greater than 75%, send 1 Request
• If the Damper Loop is greater than 85%, send 2 Requests
• If the Damper Loop is greater than 95%, send 3 Requests

CO2 Requests

• If the CO2 control loop is less than 50%, send 0 Requests
• If the CO2 control loop is greater than 60%, send 1 Request
• If the CO2 control loop is greater than 75%, send 2 Requests
• If the CO2 control loop is greater than 90%, send 3 Requests
• If the CO2 control loop is 100%, send 4 Requests
