Using Dashboards

You can get analytics and visualizations from dashboards to monitor energy usage and trends across buildings.

Advantages

With dashboards, you can:

  • Monitor energy and trends with add/copy/duplicate/delete dashboards functionalities. 
  • Configure and use predefined/custom widgets for monitoring energy.
  • Customize visualization with various editable configurations.
  • Move or copy visualizations between dashboards.
  • Create hybrid dashboards with various kinds of visualizations. 
  • Share dashboards with others with the same role in the same organization.
  • Download reports of various graphs. 
  • View all previously set configurations of any dashboard and visualizations. 
  • View different queries that is used by the system for retrieving data based on the setting. 
  • Switch between widget types. 

|Adding New Dashboard

You can add a dashboard to analyze and monitor energy consumption, energy cost index, and site intensity. You can create your own visualizations of widgets using these data. The dashboard created appears on the dashboard home page. These dashboards can be saved or shared across team members having access to the internal portal or facility managers having access to the Facilisight portal.  
Procedure

  • Log onto the Internal portal.
  • Select Portfolio Analytics from the Home tab.

The Portfolio Analytics Manager page is displayed.

  • Click the New Dashboard dropdown list and select Add New Dashboard from the list.

  • click Edit edit_button.png icon, To edit the name of the dashboard, 
  • Type the name of the dashboard and click icon to save the changes.
  • Complete the following fields:

   Field Name

Dashboard Scope

You can set the scope of organization and building selection for which portfolio data is to be analyzed and monitored. Scope can be limited to one building or multiple buildings based on user navigation preference. 

Group By

You can use this option to view the desired data in grouping. 

You can group data by the following options:

  • Hourly: If data is group by hourly, then hour wise data can be viewed.
  • Daily (default): If data is group by daily, then per day data can be viewed. 
  • Weekly: If data is group by weekly, then data per week can be viewed.
  • Monthly: If data is group by weekly, then data per week can be viewed.

Date Range

You can select a date range based on the period for which you want to view and analyze from the following options:

- Today

- Last 3 Days

- Last Week

- Last Month

- Last 6 Months

- Last Year

- Click Calendar icon to select a date range 

Normalize for Weather

Normalized impact of weather on the energy consumption across multiple buildings. This needs to be derived from cooling degree day and heating degree day calculations for a building location. 

Unit Selection

You can select kWh or kBTU. By default, kWh is selected.

Note: When you change the unit selection, it will impact all the charts where consumption data is used. The units and values across charts will be changed and will also display the value in the new unit.

Page Refresh

You can select page refresh interval. 

- Widget refresh options for energy charts are in hours (24 Hrs/12 Hrs/6 Hrs/3 Hrs/1 Hr)  

- Widget refresh options for equipment charts are in minutes (24 Hrs/12 Hrs/6 Hrs/3 Hrs/1 Hr, 5 Min, 1Min)  

Export

You can export selected data and download one or more existing widgets displayed on the dashboard in PDF, PNG, or XLSX format.

Add Visualization

You can add predefined widget or create a custom visualization.

  • Click Add Visualization. The Widget page is displayed.

The dashboard thus created is saved under Personal Dashboard by default for future reference or can be shared across other internal team members or facility manager who can access it from the Facilisight portal.

| Editing a Dashboard

You can edit the name of the dashboard you have created.

Procedure

  1. Select the dashboard you want to share from the dashboard dropdown list.
  2. Hover the mouse on the dashboard title until the icons icons_set.pngappear.
  3. Click Edit edit_button.png icon to update the name of the dashboard.
  4. Click Confirm confirmbutton.pngto save the changes.

| Sharing a Dashboard

You can share the dashboard you have created.

Procedure

  • Select the dashboard you want to share from the dashboard dropdown list.
  • Hover the mouse on the dashboard title until the icons icons_set.pngappear.
  • Click lock_shared_icon.png and select the Shared Dashboard option.
  • Select Share with Internal Team for sharing dashboard only to team members having access to the internal portal.

  • Select Share with Internal Team & Facility Manager for sharing dashboard to team members having access to the internal portal and facility managers having access to the Facilisight portal. You must select email address of the facility manager from the list to share it.

Note: When option Share with Facility manager is selected, a list of facility managers is displayed to select from, in the list the facility managers to whom the dashboard is already shared is selected already, to avoid from sharing again.

  • Click Save. The dashboard thus shared appears in the Shared Dashboard category when you click the dashboard dropdown list.

Note: When a Dashboard is shared at the portfolio level the same will not be visible in the site analytics dashboard screen.

| Viewing a Dashboard

You can view dashboards that are shared to you. These dashboards can be accessed from the Shared Dashboard category in the dashboard dropdown list.

| Deleting a Dashboard

You can delete the dashboard you have created. You cannot delete a shared dashboard.

Procedure

  1. Select the dashboard you want to delete from the dropdown list.
  2. Hover the mouse on the dashboard title until the icons icons_set.pngappear.
  3. Click Delete deletee_icon.pngicon.
  4. A delete confirmation message is displayed as shown.

  5. Click Delete. A message that the dashboard is deleted successfully appears.

| Duplicating a Dashboard

You can create more than one instance of the dashboard you created by using the Duplicate from Current feature.

Procedure

  1. Select the dashboard you want to duplicate from the dropdown list.
  2. Scroll down the list and click the Duplicate from Current option.

A duplicate dashboard is created with the name of the dashboard incremented by 1. For example, if you are duplicating the dashboard called Sample Dashboard, then the name of the duplicated dashboard is Sample Dashboard1.
