| Introduction

With a relatively simple UI interface, the HyperStat can be controlled quite easily by the user through lucid navigation buttons. The HyperStat UI is a novel way of providing inputs and expecting efficient outputs from the HyperStat device. In this article, we walk through step-by-step navigation of the UI screen and the available options for HyperStat.

| Navigating the HyperStat UI

You can use the navigation buttons to navigate through the screens available in HyperStat.

| Home Screen

You can view the current Temperature, CO2, and PM level information on this screen.

Note: The network icon indicates the RF communication strength with the mesh network.

  • Press the FAN|MODE navigation button

The Fan speeds and HVAC Mode screen is displayed.

You can view the Fan speed at which the fan is operated and the HVAC mode at which the system is operated.

Press the Back button to return to the homepage.

| Desired Temperature Limits

From the Home screen.

  • Press the '+' navigation button.

The desired temperature limits setup screen is displayed.

  • Press the Cool->Heat button to toggle between the heating and cooling desired temperatures.
  • Press the '+' and '-' buttons to increase or decrease the desired temperature limits.

Note: Once the desired temperature limits are set the user is automatically redirected to the home screen.

  • Press the '+' and '-' navigation buttons together on the home screen.

The Inputs screen is displayed.

The following table explains the various options on the screen.

Input Description
Rm Temperature

You can see the room temperature information received from the sensor/Sensors (in case more than a few sensors are daisy chained) connected to the device.

Note: When an external sensor is connected to the HyperStat for sensing, the Room Temperature from the external temperature sensor, takes precedence over the temperature from the HyperStat onboard sensor, in this field.

And when more than a few external sensors are daisy-chained, the Average temperature value from the sensors is considered in this field.

 

 

Humidity

You can view the humidity information received from the sensors connected to the device.

Note: When an external sensor is connected to the HyperStat for sensing, the humidity from the external sensor, takes precedence over the humidity from the HyperStat onboard sensor, in this field.

And when more than a few external sensors are daisy-chained, the Average humidity values from the sensors are considered in this field.

PIR You can view the value captured by the Passive Infrared sensor connected to the device
Light You can view the light level information sensed by the inbuilt light sensor in Lux
Sound You can view the sound level information sensed by the inbuilt sound sensor in decibels.
UVI You can view the UVI levels information which is also sensed by the inbuilt light sensor
Analog1 You can see the value captured from the Analog 1 input of the device in a range of 0-10V
Analog2 You can see the value captured from the Analog 2 input of the device in a range of 0-10V
Therm1 You can see the values captured from the Thermistor 1 input of the device in Kohm
Therm2 You can see the value captured from the Thermistor 2 input of the device in Kohm
CO2 You can view the CO2 levels information sensed by the inbuilt CO2 sensor
CO2-EQ You can view the CO2 equivalent level information sensed by the inbuilt CO2-EQ sensor
VOC You can view the volatile organic compounds levels sensed.
PM 2.5 You can view the particulate matter (<2.5 micrometers) level information sensed in ug/m3
PM 10 You can view the particulate matter (<10 micrometers) level information sensed in ug/m3

 

  • Press the next navigation button.

The output screen is displayed.

  • Further press the down arrow to view all the available output options.

The output screen displays the following outputs, the below table lists the outputs available in the screen and the outputs it controls

Note: The Outputs can be modified using the down arrow navigation button to locate the output and using the up and down arrow navigation buttons to set the output value.

  • Further press the next navigation button.

The Version screen is displayed.

The following table explains the various optionsonn the screen.

Field Description
Room You can view the room status.
Pairing Address You can view the pairing address of the device if it is already paired.
FW Version You can view the version of the firmware flashed in the device.
Boot Version You can view the bootloader version of the device.
Serial You can view the serial number/Unique Identifier code of the device
Back Version You can view the previous version of the firmware flashed in the device
  • Further press the next navigation button.

The 900 MHz radio test screen is displayed.

The following table explains the various options in the screen.

Field Description
Address You can view the pairing address attributed to the device and modify the same to check the radio signal strength aspects for different pairing addresses.
Sent You can view the sent data value
Acked You can view the acknowledged data value
Rssi You can view the RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) value populated from the 900 MHz mesh network
LQI You can view the LQI value which is also populated from the 900 MHz mesh network.
Parent Address You can view the parent address information.
  • Further press the next navigation button.

| HVAC Options

The HVAC options screen is displayed.

The following table explains the various options in the screen.

Field Description
Temperature Offset You can use this option to set the offset temperature value.
Temperature Mode You can use this option to modify the mode of temperature for the device
Temperature Unit You can use this option to change the temperature unit to Fahrenheit or Celsius
Humidify Over You can use this option to set humidification limit in percentage
Dehumidify Over You can use this option to set dehumidification limit in percentage
Heat Deadband You can use this option to set the heating deadband limit in Fahrenheit
Cool Deadband You can use this option to set the cooling deadband limit in Fahrenheit
CO2 Th You can use this option to view the CO2 levels in PPM
PM 2.5 Th You can use this option to view the Particulate matter 2.5 in ug/metre cube
VOC Th You can use this option to view and set the Volatile Organic Compound levels in PPB
Max heat You can use this option to set the maximum heating limit in Fahrenheit
Min Heat You can use this option to set the minimum heating limit in Fahrenheit
Max Cool You can use this option to set the maximum cooling limit in Fahrenheit
Min Cool You can use this option to set the minimum cooling limit in Fahrenheit

Note: The HVAC options can be modified using the down arrow navigation button to locate the options and using the up and down arrow navigation button to set the value.

  • Further press the next navigation button.

| Display Options

The Display options screen is displayed, you can use these options to define what information is displayed in the home screen.

Field Description
Display CO2 You can use this option to display or not to display CO2 level information in the home screen
Display PM 2.5  You can use this option to display or not to display PM level information in the home screen
Display VOC  You can use this option to display or not to display VOC level information in the home screen
Display Humidity  You can use this option to display or not to display Humidity information in the home screen

Note: The display options can be modified using the down and up arrow navigation buttons to get to the option and using the up and down arrow navigation button to set the value.

  • Further press the next navigation button.

| Installer Options

The installer options screen is displayed.

The following table explains the various options in the screen.

Option Description
Pair with CCU You can use this option to pair the HyperStat to the CCU
Hardware Test You can used this option to perform any hardware tests
Factory Reset You can use this option to reset the settings to the factory settings of the HyperStat
Disable Touch You can use this option to disable the touch settings of the HyperStat
  • Further press the next navigation button.

| COMM Options

The communication options screen is displayed.

The following table explains the various options in the screen.

Option Description
Protocol You can view the operating communication protocol for the HyperStat
Modbus Address You can view the current modbus address of the device
Baud Rate You can view the number of changes to the signal per second (baud rate)
Parity You can view the signal parity for the device
Stop Bits You can view the stop bits for the communication signal

| HVAC Profile

The HVAC profile screen is displayed.

Select Profile You can use this option to select the desired the desired HVAC profile 
Configure Profile Once the profile is selected, you can use this option to configure the selected HVAC profile
